Landscape

From the smallest detail to the broadest sweep of the landscape itself, the light has a essential part in the composing of a photograph. It is the variable quality that creates an atmosphere, it is the illumination, both literally and figuratively of an image. Whether in colour or in black and white the light defines, clarifies and gives meaning to the subject. It determines the whole sensation of the picture and in the case of landscape,

determines the viewer’s place in relation to it.
